PRESENTATION

Toward Interactive Dome Teleimmersion

The Metalab, research departement of the Society for arts and technology, is building an ecosystem of open source software for immersive and telepresence scenography. This toolbox will be introduced through the presentation of prototypes. Finally, we will open a discussion about possible the scenography of immersive and interactive telepresence pieces involving multiple domes.

Our presentation will introduce the ecosystem compounded of the following software, all dome enabled and tested into the dome at the SAT: Splash for multiprojector video mapping SATIE for multispeaker spatial audio Scenic/Switcher for low latency and multichannel telepresence LivePose for pose and action detection of individuals in a group of persons vaRays for live architectural simulation of spatial audio reverberation Our presentation will be heavily based on demonstration videos of previously conducted projects. For instance : Interaction with LivePose https://vimeo.com/639532760 Live audio spatialisation with SATIE: https://vimeo.com/265607999 Live video mapping with Splash: https://vimeo.com/544570900 Live acoustics with vaRays: https://vimeo.com/484122810 Live camera streaming to fulldomes with Switcher: https://vimeo.com/266687560
