Arthur Desmarteaux

Étienne Rochon aka Arthur Desmarteaux is an interdisciplinary artist from Montreal with MFA in print media from Concordia University in 2017 and a BFA from Université du Québec à Montréal in 2003. Desmarteaux has developed several multi-channel soundtracks composed for installations presented in art galleries, outdoor video projection mapping events or shadow puppet performances. He is composing electronic music using an array of softwares, plugins and controllers. He recently completed a residency at MMCA (The National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art) in Seoul, Korea. His artwork has been shown at Daegu Art Factory (Korea), Artcite (Windosr), Maison culturelle Montréal-Nord, Galerie d’art d’Outremont and Open Studio Gallery in Toronto. During the Summer of 2015, he went to Mexico City for a research and creation residency organized by Québec Council for the Arts. He represented Canada for visual arts during the 7th Games of la Francophonie in Nice, France (2013). He is co-directing Egotrip Productions company with Allison Moore since 2006 and developed several shadow plays involving video projections as light sources. www.egotripproductions.org www.arthuro.ca
